Before the cooking started- notice how clean everything is. Shortly everyone will be covered in flour. Hummm...can't turn the mixer on high with only flour in the bowl...ask me how I know that.

The whole family got together to plan dad's birthday, it was great! Mara and Bob flew in from Maryland and Jenny and Adam drove in from Austin. Dad had no idea what was planned...it was too much fun to see the day unfold for him.

Drew had a great idea to decorate dad's house so we headed out around 4 a.m. to put plastic pink flamingos, birthday banners and silly sidewalk chalk messages. Dad came up for his birthday breakfast then went off to work.

What he did not know was that Mara and Bob had already boarded a plane and were on their way to see him. What a wonderful surprise for them to walk in the door and say Happy Birthday dad!

Dad, Jan, Mara and Bob came over for a pasta dinner, after dinner we called Jenny so that we could all tell him about the exciting news ... that we were ALL going to the Great Wolf Lodge for the entire weekend. We would check in Friday for the weekend and Doug and Karin and Family would also be coming on Saturday to spend the day with him.

The great wolf lodge was a perfect place for us to go. It has an 80,000 square foot indoor water park with 8 water slides, wavepool, tree house and lazy river. The resort also has an arcade, Starbucks, and several restaurants.

Over the next few weeks I will be posting more photos of dad's 6.0. We passed out several waterproof cameras for everyone to use over the weekend, as the developed cd's come in I'll upload the photos to this page.
